Plastic Chick Feeder & Waterer Jar and Bases, 1 Quart | Jar, Feeder Base, or Waterer Base
$4.49
One Jar, Two Jobs — Feed or Water Your Chicks from the Same Setup
Starting chicks takes two stations — one for feed, one for water — and this modular system covers both with a single shared jar. The translucent 1-quart jar twists onto either base: pair it with the feeder base for chick starter, or with the waterer base for fresh water. Buy only the parts you need, replace just the piece that wears out, and skip storing two bulky one-piece units.
How the System Works
- Shared 1-quart jar: One jar does both jobs — fill it with feed or water, twist on a base, flip it upright, and gravity keeps the base supplied.
- Twist-lock fit: The jar's threaded neck locks into either base with a quick twist, so swapping a base takes seconds.
- See the level at a glance: The translucent jar shows how much feed or water is left without picking the unit up.
- Parts sold separately: Every part is sold on its own. A working feeder or waterer needs the jar plus one base — add both if you are starting from scratch.
The Parts
- 1-Quart Jar: Translucent plastic jar with a wide threaded neck. Holds 1 quart of feed or water and works with both bases.
- Feeder Base: Red plastic base with 8 feeding holes around the rim, so several chicks can eat at once while feed stays in the base instead of getting scratched across the brooder floor.
- Waterer Base: Red plastic base with a shallow drinking trough that keeps water right at chick height — shallow enough for day-old chicks to drink from safely.
Setting It Up
- For feed: Fill the jar with chick starter, twist the feeder base on tight, then flip the unit upright.
- For water: Fill the jar with clean water, twist the waterer base on, flip upright, and let the trough fill on its own.
- Cleaning: The parts twist apart in seconds — rinse, scrub, and air-dry before refilling.
Each part is sold separately — pick the jar, a base, or everything your brooder needs.
